Smartphones are getting more smarter each day with additional features included to them on every update they get. However, a distinctive feature of being able to fold one’s phone has always been the feature everyone wanted. With speculations of Galaxy Fold being the breakthrough and the Huawei’s Mate X releasing in 2019, almost all consumers were eager to be able to fold their phones. But Galaxy Fold didn’t live up to its expectations with acute units requiring reviews from the company and Huawei’s Mate X’s delay has left consumers wondering if they’ll ever receive a foldable phone.
Amidst all the hassle to get a foldable phone, surprisingly Apple is developing a foldable device that is supposedly releasing in 2020. According to Jeff Lin, the IHS Markit’s analyst(a London-based global information provider), Apple is developing a foldable iPad without much news coming ou
What’s more surprising is that Apple is planning to include 5G support on the device, which is far-fetched since the company doesn’t yet have an iPhone that supports 5G. Apple’s plan of releasing an iPad with 5G support, that too, in the next 18 months, is quite difficult to process for anyone. Lin says the iPad will have the latest A series processor and a large enough display to tackle the current MacBook. He also pointed out that this device is going to be highly “business-friendly”, supposedly replacing the use of Laptops. Apple has been trying to create the perfect business device for years and is in the right tracks to do so with this latest tech-upgrade they are planning.
